A recent study by LEAD at Krea University, supported by FMO, the Dutch development bank, consolidates evidence on the impact of clean cookstoves in low- and middle-income countries, and the effectiveness of the business models employed for their delivery. The study identifies six principles that development finance institutions (DFIs) and other stakeholders, such as impact investors, should follow to ensure that investments in clean cookstoves yield the greatest impact possible.
