In June, the Dutch Spark for Clean Cooking Solutions held its member meeting, discussing the topic of Carbon Integrity.
As carbon credits become increasingly mainstream as a financing option for clean cooking projects, it becomes increasingly relevant for the sector to promote quality standards in the carbon market, ensuring trust and transparency.
The Dutch Spark members were joined by representatives from the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) and The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM), which allowed us to discuss the developments surrounding carbon markets from both a regulatory and market perspective.
A big thank you to both Mr. Feisal Hussain and Ms. Jessica Wade-Murphy for sharing their insights and joining us for the discussion. In terms of integrity, both the CCA’s planned Code of Conduct and ICVCM’s Core Carbon Principles are things to look out for.
The Dutch Spark is a network of Dutch organisations active in advancing clean cooking worldwide, operating as a Community of Practice. Throughout the year, we meet regularly to discuss various topics closely related to advancing clean cooking for low-income households. Interested in learning more about what we do?
